Pattern Review: Button Up Jumper from OUSM Designs

I’m excited to present my first pattern review for DIY Crush. I’m here showing off the Button Up Jumper by OUSM Designs. I first fell in love with this jumper a few months back when I saw the tester call for it. It’s such a classic sweet design, but with a little twist!

Sugar and Spice top and dress by Peek-a-Boo patterns

I completely forgot to post this yesterday, the day that the pattern released. Oops! Better late than never though!

I got to test this sweet little Sugar and Spice top* by Peek-a-Boo patterns*. I made the 12 month top length. It’s just the sweetest top. I love little flutter sleeves. Especially when the rest of the top isn’t overly girly, the flutter sleeves add a small dash of sweetness. Yep!
I used sweet three different times. 😉

The instructions call for top stitching all around the bodice but I only had enough of that colour thread for around the bottom.

I’ve been a fan of Peek-a-Boo patterns for awhile now. Her designs are mostly everyday and practical. Not too much froufrou. I also don’t have any problems with her instructions and find them easy to understand.

The Sugar and Spice top (or dress) features a square neckline (which I LOVE), optional flutter sleeves, optional piping, and accent side panels.

Instructions are also included for doing bias trim around the bottom of the armhole which isn’t really scary at all. I’ve done bias trim a few times before and her instructions are easy to understand.

This is a great design. I will definitely be making more. I can see it working well in colder months layered over a long sleeve. I also need to make a version with piping and a dress version (if not for Baby V then for Silly Bean).
