E+M Boy’s Shirt Pattern No. 7 pattern test

I recently had the chance to test a boy’s shirt pattern by E+M Patterns (affiliate link) called Boy’s Shirt Pattern No. 7

I’ve tested for the designer before (see here) and really love her patterns. She gives directions to finish the inside seams (without the use of a serger) that give a professional finish. I really should have taken a picture of the inside but forgot, whoops!

For this test I had my rambunctious 3-year-old nephew test. (This photo session literally lasted 45 seconds). He likes Spiderman so obviously I went with that for the shirt. 😉 Originally I had planned for the shirt to be red on top, and Spiderman on the bottom but I had made a cutting error and had cut the wrong size out and then didn’t have enough red to do it that way. boo.

This is an early test version, there have been some changes to the fit but the details remain the same. Buttons at the shoulders and little vents on the sides at the bottom of the shirt. (Both of which I forgot to get detailed shots of). There is also a patch pocket to be added to the front of the shirt but I didn’t add it on in this version.

heehee can you spot Baby V in this picture?

I can’t wait to get a chance to make a new top for my nephew. You should see my sewing wishlist, it’s like a mile long!

You should definitely check out her patterns (affiliate link)! I think they’re great and you will too! 🙂
