Not a pattern test: Bebop top by Scientific Seamstress

There are days I wish I had discovered Scientific Seamstress patterns first.

They are so thorough and clear. Lots of tips. (like using a glue stick instead of pinning to help when doing 1/4″ folds for the neckline. Who knew?) Simply amazing. And there are usually tons of options in the patterns.

Like the Bebop top/dress. It has different lengths (top, tunic, dress), different sleeve lengths (long, short, and sleeveless like I did). I love this top. It’s so cute.

This is what I made for her to wear for Christmas. I figured I’d go with black and white and get more wear out of it (and made it sleeveless for that reason). I made the tunic length and I believe it’s the 6m size. It’s just so sweet and classic.  To make it Christmassy I had clipped a little red felt bow to the front.
