Pattern Test: Dandelions n’ Dungarees Retro Frock

Lucky me got to test another pattern from Dandelions n’ Dungarees. This is the Retro Frock.

Its on sale for 48 hours only for the low price of $5 in their Craftsy shop!

It has different sleeve options, a square neckline and fun pockets! I like too how you can play around with the panels in different fabrics. I kept it simple as I’m still working on playing around with fabrics (in other words I’m not adventurous yet for mixing prints!)

Big goof! She is sooo difficult to get photos of sometime!

The cap sleeves have been modified to be a bit less puffy, but I think they’re cute anyway. They also raised the front neckline a bit too.

It has buttons going down the back (or like I did snaps). And there is the option for doing a keyhole opening instead.

I like the retro feel to this dress. It would be cute as a tunic length top too.

The trickiest bit was sewing the curved front panels/pockets. It is recommended for intermediate level seamstresses but I think an adventurous beginner could do it!

Here’s the link again. I’m working on another one that I’m going to make tunic length! Fun!
