It’s Perfect Pattern Parcel time again!
I’m so excited to share with you the awesome Mimi dress I made. I originally made this dress back in June for the Mimi blog tour but I love it so much that I thought I should share it again as part of this tour too!
(Not to mention, Silly Bean cooperated so well for this shoot, I HAVE to reshare!)
|PATTERN: MIMI DRESS AND TOP BY FILLES A MAMAN | FABRIC: MAIN IS PINK ROSES ON YELLOW COTTON INTERLOCK FROM THE FABRIC FAIRY
I won’t go into too much detail about the little changes/additions I had made with this dress since you can read more in my other blog post here. But I will repeat one thing. I ♥ this pattern.
The design is great. I love love LOVE the collar and keyhole detail. (I’ve decided I have a thing for collars, ha!)
|I added a lace overlay on the collar, love the bit of lace! And it works with the vintage button from my collection.
The hem detail is also a nice feature.
It’s a fairly quick sew. The most complicated bit is attaching the collar I think, but you can leave it off if you prefer. But it was one of the first collars I’ve actually sewn on and it went well. The pattern also has the option of having a fringe detail, as well as shirt length.
|Aww, her little belly!
|I did kinda mess up the keyhole detail by placing the button too far over.

How Pattern Parcel Works:
Here at Perfect Pattern Parcel, we believe in supporting independent pattern designers. It’s our opinion that indie patterns are just, well, better than big box patterns, and we’re pretty sure our customers think so too. So, we allow customers to show their support in naming their own price for each Parcel. We also encourage customers to allocate part of their Parcel price to the charity Donorschoose.org in order to help classrooms in need. Pattern Parcel donates all profits after expenses from Parcel sales to the charity as well. Together we’ve raised over $11,000 for classrooms in need!
I’ll be back later in the week with a brand new look from the parcel. See you soon! (And check out the rest of the tour below!)
