Normally I wouldn’t even bother making a halter top for Silly Bean because she doesn’t like it when her back “peeks out” but this was such a cute design I had to try it out!
Lucky me I got to test it, because you know what? She LOVES it!
The Rissa Roo Pixie Halter Top by The Plucky Butterfly is a cute halter top with a unique look. It was designed so that the shape mimicked the shape of a butterfly. Cute!
*Pattern pieces for the front and back only, measurements are given for the binding and ruffle hem.
If you’ve sewn with knit before it is EASY and VERY quick to sew up. I managed to get it printed, cut out and sewn all in one night. That never happens for me! 🙂
Silly is wearing the size 2. She’s 4 and about 42″ tall with a 20.5″ chest. I didn’t do any adjustments to the pattern. I will be adding the ruffle to the bottom once my order arrives (I thought I had enough of the pink knit but no 🙁 ). That way she’ll have a little extra length in case she grows again, lol.
Silly Bean picked out the butterfly knit from my stash and then when wearing it she decided that butterfly shirts need butterfly wings to match, naturally!
She also commented that it was a like a swimming shirt so I think I’m going to have to pick up some swimsuit material and try it out.
She was in a good mood for pics and was even taking direction (as in staying still for a few shots). That never happens, so yeah, she loves this top!
BUT guess what? You could win a copy of this pattern right here on this page! Woohoo! Check out the Rafflecopter below.
